The Midnight Ambush on Community Guards
A violent midnight attack by armed terrorists has claimed the lives of three youths in Pwomol Village, located within the Heipang District of Plateau State. The victims were active members of a local vigilante group who were stationed to maintain a security watch over the community when the assailants struck. This lethal encounter, which occurred in the Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, has sparked significant alarm among residents as it represents the second such assault on the village in less than seven days.
Casualties and Emergency Medical Intervention
In addition to the three fatalities, the attack left at least one other resident with life threatening injuries. According to local sources, the survivor was immediately transported to a nearby medical facility where they are currently undergoing treatment. The identities of the deceased vigilantes have not been formally released, but their roles as community defenders have made the loss particularly impactful for the local population. Security personnel arrived shortly after the shooting to secure the perimeter and begin the process of evidence collection.
Apprehension of a Bloodstained Suspect
Rwang Tengwong, the National Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders-Association, confirmed that a breakthrough in the investigation occurred around 1:00 AM on Monday.
