During a recent Friday operation, security personnel successfully apprehended two suspects and confiscated a variety of dangerous weapons. The recovered cache included a fabricated AK,47 rifle, four rounds of specialized 7.62mm ammunition, a pump,action firearm, and a cutlass. According to Captain Oteh, these arrests were made at critical transit routes and known flashpoints, specifically naming locations such as Dadinkowa, Tudun Wada, and the State Low,Cost Housing Estate. These areas span the boundary between the Jos North and Jos South districts, representing high priority zones for military oversight.

Rapid Response to Violent Volatility in Shendam

In a separate but related security incident, troops were deployed to the Yelwa Cattle Market in Shendam following reports of sporadic gunfire. Upon the arrival of the Joint Task Force, the unidentified gunmen retreated into the surrounding wilderness under the weight of sustained military pressure. A subsequent sweep of the immediate area by security forces led to the discovery of two local residents who had sustained gunshot wounds during the initial confrontation.
