Timeline of Recent Incidents (March–April 2026)
Mid-March (Devonport): A group of teens assaulted another at a beach. Two individuals face Youth Court charges of assault with intent to injure; others are being identified via social media footage.
March 27 (Mt Roskill): A teenage boy was lured out of his home at 11:30 p.m. and ambushed by a group hiding nearby. He was hospitalized; no arrests have been made.
March 27 (Mt Albert): A party on Phyllis Street escalated into a brawl involving machetes and a vehicle being driven at crowds. A 17-year-old male was arrested on multiple charges, including wounding and unlawfully taking a motor vehicle.
April 2 (Takanini): A "disorder incident" involving a vehicle driven dangerously at a group, resulting in one hospitalization. Investigation into CCTV footage is ongoing.
Mid-April (Stanmore Bay): A group assault occurred outside a Whangaparaoa Road eatery. This case has been filed due to lack of leads but remains open to new information.
