The Incident on Kerr Street
The encounter took place while the two girls were walking along Kerr Street in the early afternoon. According to police reports:
The Approach: A vehicle stopped alongside the girls.
The Interaction: One of the occupants made a gesture toward the girls.
The Reaction: Sensing danger, the girls immediately ran to a nearby family address and reported the incident.
Inspector Aron McKeown confirmed that police were contacted later that same day. "The occupants of the vehicle can also come forward to clarify what has occurred last week," he said, suggesting that while the behavior is being treated as suspicious, police are open to hearing the other side of the story.
