Seventh District officers arrived at the 2300 block of Pitts Place at approximately 7:45 p.m. following reports of active gunfire in the residential area. Upon their arrival, first responders discovered a male victim who was neither conscious nor breathing, exhibiting signs of severe trauma from apparent gunshot wounds. The immediate priority shifted to medical intervention, though the gravity of the injuries presented a significant challenge to the arriving units.

Life Saving Efforts Exhausted at the Scene

Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the location to provide advanced life support.
