Party Refutes Claims of Withdrawn Support

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has moved swiftly to clarify its position following a controversial statement attributed to a group calling itself the Arewa APC Forum. The group had allegedly claimed that support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambition was being withdrawn. However, the ruling party categorically refuted these assertions on Saturday, describing the report as false and a deliberate attempt to mislead the public. State Publicity Secretary Auwalu Abdullahi emphasized that the views of this "faceless" group do not reflect the stance of the constitutional party organs in Kano.

Kano Chapter Affirms Loyalty to Tinubu Administration

According to the official statement released by the Kano Chapter, the party remains fully committed to the President and his "Renewed Hope" agenda. Under the leadership of Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa, the Kano APC reaffirmed its confidence in the current administration’s economic reforms and national development strategies. The party insisted that no recognized organ within its structure has discussed or approved a withdrawal of support, reinforcing the idea that Kano remains a stronghold for the President's 2027 campaign.

Identification of Mischief Makers and Party Unity

The APC leadership characterized those behind the Arewa APC Forum as elements seeking undue attention through the creation of disunity. The party noted that the individuals identified as signatories to the purported withdrawal are not known stakeholders at any level of the party structure in Kano. By distancing itself from these "mischief-makers," the Kano Chapter aimed to douse unnecessary political tension and maintain a united front ahead of the next election cycle.
