Strategic Unification of Campaign Organizations
In a significant move toward early 2027 electoral preparations, the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) and the Global Alliance for Tinubu Campaign have reached an agreement to merge their operational strategies. The alliance was formalized during a courtesy visit by Dr. Abubakar Jimoh, National Coordinator of the Global Alliance, to the Director-General of the TSG, Dr. Umar Tanko Yakassai, in Abuja on Monday. This partnership aims to create a unified front to consolidate political support across the country’s diverse geopolitical zones.
Shift Toward Issues-Oriented Campaigning
Leadership from both organizations emphasized that the upcoming campaign cycle will prioritize substantive achievements over traditional political fanfare. Dr. Jimoh stated that the groups intend to focus specifically on the landmark economic and social milestones reached during President Tinubu’s first three years in office. By centering the narrative on the "Renewed Hope" agenda, the coalition hopes to convince eligible voters that renewing the President's mandate is a mechanical necessity for completing ongoing structural reforms.
Global Mobilization and Diaspora Engagement
A key component of the new strategy involves the active recruitment of Nigerians living abroad. The Global Alliance plans to leverage the influence of the diaspora under the leadership of Global Convener Prince Bevis Paul Igbinoba. The organizations believe that engaging the international community will provide a broader platform for validating the President's policies and attracting external support for the administration's long-term developmental goals.
