Restricted Access Introduced for Initial Score Verification

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has activated the primary phase of score releases for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. In a statement issued late Friday night, the board clarified that candidates are currently limited to checking their performance through a verified mobile notification system. This batch release applies specifically to students who participated in the testing sessions on Thursday, April 16, marking the beginning of a phased data rollout that will continue as the testing window progresses.

Zero Tolerance Policy for Digital Result Manipulation

Alongside the release of the scores, the examination body issued a severe warning regarding the integrity of the official notifications. Spokesperson Fabian Benjamin highlighted that any attempt to falsify or alter the SMS responses received from the official shortcodes constitutes a criminal offense. The board noted that such manipulations are often used to mislead educational institutions and parents, and any detected discrepancies will be handed over to law enforcement for formal prosecution.

Procedural Delays in Official Document Printing

Despite the availability of scores, the board has intentionally delayed the activation of the official result slip printing feature on its electronic facility portal. According to the administration, this delay is a strategic measure intended to prevent premature documentation while examinations are still being conducted at centers nationwide. Candidates have been advised that the printing functionality will be enabled only at a later date, once the board has completed its internal verification of the 2026 examination cycle.
