Brandon Casto, identified as the primary suspect in a weekend shooting in Akron, reportedly drove several hours south to Meigs County following the incident. According to official statements, the Akron Police Department alerted Meigs County 911 on Monday regarding the suspect's potential location. Shortly thereafter, Casto arrived at the Sheriff’s Office and turned himself in to awaiting deputies.

The arrest stems from a violent encounter that took place late Saturday night in the city of Akron. Local authorities there reported that the shooting claimed the lives of two victims: a woman and her twelve year old son.
