The Romanian Conviction and Extradition Request

Stamenov’s legal troubles stem from a 2019 conviction in Romania, where he was sentenced in absentia to 16 years in prison for his involvement in large-scale drug trafficking. Following the sentencing, Romanian authorities engaged Interpol to facilitate his capture, leading to the issuance of a Red Notice.
