Precautionary Boil Water Notice Issued for Bell Block and The Links
A precautionary boil water notice is in effect for parts of New Plymouth after E. coli was detected near the airport. Residents are advised to boil all drinking water.

Areas Affected and Safety Requirements
The advisory is strictly for residents and businesses within the Bell Block and The Links water zones. Other areas of the New Plymouth District remain unaffected.
Council Manager for Three Waters, Amy Quattlebaum, stated that residents must boil all water used for the following activities:
Drinking and tooth brushing.
Washing dishes and food preparation.
Preparing baby formula.
