Midnight Pursuit Ends In Dallas Roundabout

The quiet early morning hours in Lehman Township were disrupted Friday when a routine police check escalated into a dangerous high speed pursuit. Officers initially encountered 39 year old Michael Allen Pritt behind a Citgo station on State Route 118 at approximately 3:45 a.m. When questioned about his presence at the closed business, Pritt claimed he was waiting for funds to purchase fuel, but abruptly fled the scene when officers offered assistance. The subsequent chase reached speeds exceeding 100 mph through the Back Mountain region before Pritt lost control and crashed his vehicle at a roundabout on State Route 415.

Discovery Of The Burglary Master Plan

Upon securing the crash site, investigators conducted a search of the black Ford Edge and uncovered evidence of a sophisticated criminal operation. Most notably, police seized a notebook that served as a detailed itinerary, containing specific addresses of gas stations throughout Northeast Pennsylvania. Pritt later admitted to investigators that he had been actively researching these locations for future burglaries. He further claimed that he was being paid to conduct this reconnaissance, although he refused to provide additional details regarding his alleged employers or the broader scope of the conspiracy.

Recovery Of Stolen Firearms And Tactical Gear

The search of the vehicle, which was determined to have been stolen from Philadelphia, yielded a significant cache of illegal weapons and equipment. Officers recovered two Glock 9mm pistols, both of which had been reported stolen, along with five loaded magazines and a police scanner used to monitor law enforcement frequencies. Additionally, Pritt was found in possession of a ballistic vest. As a convicted felon, Pritt is legally prohibited from possessing any firearms, making the discovery a central component of the multi jurisdictional criminal investigation.
