Emergency Units Respond to Afternoon Collision on Airport Road

Law enforcement and rescue teams in Concord were dispatched to the intersection of Manchester Street and Airport Road following reports of a motor vehicle accident. According to an affidavit provided by the Concord Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. on January 31. A witness at the scene informed dispatchers that a female driver had veered off the roadway and into a snowbank, noting a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle.

Extensive Damage Reported to 2014 Subaru Forester

Upon arrival, the responding officer located the involved vehicle, a 2014 Subaru Forester, positioned between the roadway and a local dealership. According to police reports, the SUV sustained severe mechanical failure, with the undercarriage described as destroyed and the internal airbags having deployed upon impact. Despite the severity of the damage, the driver informed officials that she had been wearing her seatbelt and did not believe she had sustained a head injury.

Observations of Impairment and Field Sobriety Testing

The investigating officer noted several physical indicators of intoxication while speaking with the operator, identified as Nicole E. Roy. According to court documents, Roy exhibited bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, and she struggled to maintain her balance after exiting the vehicle. While Roy initially denied consuming alcohol, she allegedly admitted to smoking cannabis earlier in the day. After failing multiple sets of field sobriety tests, she was taken into custody for further processing.
