Repeated Arson Attacks At Paramount Strip Mall

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals allegedly responsible for a commercial arson. The fire occurred in the early morning hours of February 24, 2026, in a strip mall located within the 7900 block of Alondra Boulevard. According to investigators, this was not an isolated incident; it was the third time the same business has been targeted by arsonists in recent months, suggesting a coordinated or targeted effort against the establishment.

Method Of Operation And Suspect Descriptions

Surveillance footage and forensic evidence indicate that the two suspects gained entry to the building by breaking through a front window. Once inside, they reportedly poured a flammable liquid across the interior before igniting the fluid and fleeing the scene. LASD has released several photos of the suspects captured by nearby security cameras. While the quality of the images varies, detectives hope that the clothing, physical builds, or gait of the individuals will lead to a successful identification by members of the community.

Specialized Investigative Response

The investigation is being spearheaded by the LASD Arson/Explosives Detail. This specialized unit consists of full time certified bomb technicians and arson investigators who handle complex cases involving incendiary devices and suspicious fires. Given the repeat nature of the attacks on this Alondra Boulevard location, the team is looking for potential links to organized crime, personal disputes, or insurance related motives, though no specific motive has been confirmed at this stage.
