Wilfredo Ortiz, also known as “Will” and “P,” was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Michael P. Shea in Hartford to 135 months of imprisonment followed by five years of supervised release. The sentencing follows a comprehensive investigation into a drug trafficking organization that utilized Supreme Automotive, a car dealership on Main Street in New Britain, as a hub for illegal distribution. Federal authorities revealed that the dealership served as a base for high volume narcotics sales, primarily involving cocaine, to various members of the conspiracy.

Surveillance and Task Force Execution

The investigation was spearheaded by the FBI’s Northern Connecticut Gang Task Force and the New Britain Police Department in 2024. Law enforcement utilized court authorized wiretaps and electronic surveillance to track Ortiz’s communications and movements. During the probe, undercover agents and informants completed several controlled purchases, including three transactions that each involved more than a kilogram of cocaine.
