Scale of Defensive Operations

The Kuwaiti armed forces have been engaged in an extensive defensive campaign to protect the nation’s borders and interior from a wave of aerial assaults. According to official figures released by the Ministry of Defense on Friday, Kuwaiti units successfully neutralized 212 ballistic missiles and 394 drones since hostilities began in late February. These interceptions represent a massive mobilization of national air defense assets as the country finds itself caught in the crossfire of a widening regional conflict.

Casualties and Infrastructure Damage

Despite the high success rate of the interception efforts, the strikes have resulted in tragic loss of life and significant damage on the ground. Colonel Saud Al Atwan, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, confirmed that the attacks killed two military personnel and one child. In addition to the fatalities, the ministry noted that multiple individuals sustained injuries and that various vital installations and residential areas suffered property damage as a result of the ongoing bombardment.

Allegations of Sovereignty Violations

The Kuwaiti government has issued a firm condemnation of the strikes, characterizing them as a blatant violation of national sovereignty and international law. Colonel Al Atwan stated that the targeting of civilian infrastructure and residential neighborhoods demonstrates a disregard for non combatant safety. Kuwaiti officials have emphasized that the country is being subjected to unprovoked aggression while the armed forces continue to work around the clock to prevent further breaches of their airspace.
