Escalation of Aerial Attacks on Civilian Centers

The Kharkiv Regional Military Administration has confirmed a significant escalation in shelling over the past 24 hours, with Russian forces striking the city of Kharkiv and 16 surrounding settlements. According to Oleh Synehubov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, the coordinated attacks resulted in 25 civilian victims. The strikes utilized a diverse arsenal of weaponry, including various types of UAVs, guided aerial bombs (KABs), and at least one missile strike, marking a persistent and high-intensity targeting of the region's population centers.

Casualties and Psychological Impact in Kharkiv City

In the regional capital of Kharkiv, the human toll included two individuals who sustained physical injuries and 16 others who were treated for acute stress reactions. These psychological injuries often follow the high-decibel impact of guided aerial bombs in densely populated urban environments. Emergency services have been deployed to provide both medical and psychological support to those affected, as the city continues to face daily threats from aerial assets launched from across the nearby border.

Impact on Rural Communities and Vulnerable Populations

The shelling extended deep into the province's rural districts, with several villages reporting casualties. In the village of Oskil, three residents were injured: a 90 year old woman, a 67 year old woman, and a 19 year old man. The targeting of such a wide age demographic highlights the indiscriminate nature of the current bombing campaign. Additionally, the Borova community’s village of Pidvysoke reported injuries to a 57 year old man and a 53 year old woman, while a 32 year old woman in Vyshneve was treated for severe stress following the strikes.
