The fatal incident occurred in a suburban district of the Yaroslavl region when a drone struck a private home. Governor Mikhail Evraev confirmed via his Telegram channel that a child present in the house at the time of the attack died from the impact. The victim’s parents were hospitalized in serious condition, and a woman in a neighboring residence also sustained injuries. This strike is notable for its geographic depth, as Yaroslavl sits hundreds of kilometers from the Ukrainian border, indicating the increasing range of Kyiv’s long-distance strike capabilities.

Massive Aerial Incursion Repelled Across Russia

The Russian Defence Ministry provided a broader scope of the overnight hostilities, claiming that air defense units intercepted and destroyed a total of 155 Ukrainian drones. The interceptions occurred over multiple administrative regions, including the heavily fortified Moscow region. In Yaroslavl alone, Governor Evraev reported that more than 30 drones were neutralized. Despite the high interception rate, the debris and surviving drones managed to impact civilian sectors, causing structural damage to residential buildings and at least one retail facility.
