Arrest of Teenage Suspect in Wautec

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has announced a significant development in the investigation of a shooting that occurred in Hoopa earlier this week. On March 11, deputies arrested 15-year-old Preston Lee Ruiz II on a no-bail warrant. Ruiz was located at a residence off State Highway 169 near the community of Wautec. Following his apprehension, the juvenile was transported to Juvenile Hall, where he faces several severe felony charges related to the violent incident.

Two Adult Suspects Wanted on Felony Warrants

While one suspect is in custody, the Humboldt County Major Crimes Division continues to search for two adult males identified through the ongoing investigation. No-bail warrants have been issued for 19-year-old Tse-Lin Qhaba Red Cloud Perry Wayne Lincoln and 18-year-old William Randolph “Billy” Warren, who is also known as William “Bubbz” Lincoln. Both individuals are residents of Hoopa and are considered wanted for their alleged roles in the March 10 shooting.

Detailed Criminal Charges

All three individuals identified in the case face an identical set of serious criminal charges under the California Penal Code. These include attempted murder (PC 664/187), conspiracy to commit a crime (PC 182(a)), and a sentencing enhancement for being armed during the commission of a felony (PC 12022). The severity of the charges and the no-bail status of the warrants underscore the gravity of the allegations and the potential danger posed to the community during the initial incident.
