Excessive Speeds And Failed Tire Deflation Tactics In Eden

The situation intensified when a Fond du Lac County deputy clocked the suspect vehicle traveling at approximately 96 mph on County Highway K. Despite active attempts to initiate a traffic stop, the driver refused to yield, leading to a tactical deployment of stop, stick tire deflation devices at the intersection of County Highway B and County Highway V. This initial attempt to disable the vehicle was unsuccessful, allowing the suspects to maintain high speeds as they moved further north through the Village of Eden.

Evasive Maneuvers Lead To Violent Rollover At Local Intersection

The pursuit reached a destructive conclusion during a second deployment of stop sticks at the intersection of County Highway V and County Highway K. Investigators state that the driver attempted an aggressive evasive maneuver, swerving toward the south shoulder and directly toward a standing deputy to avoid the devices. This loss of control caused the vehicle to enter a ditch and roll over completely before coming to a rest. The impact left the vehicle with substantial structural damage and trapped the occupants inside the wreckage.
