Broadening the Scope of Work
Initially launched as a pilot for minor residential projects, the expanded scheme now includes:
Residential Buildings: Most work in buildings up to three storeys (excluding apartments).
Commercial Eligibility: Small-scale commercial jobs, such as installing kitchenettes in office staff rooms.
Infrastructure: Rural and urban septic tanks, as well as stormwater retention tanks.
To ensure safety, the expansion is restricted to standard designs that do not affect shared or fire-rated walls. While non-standard designs can still be self-certified, they must strictly adhere to the Building Code.
