Violent Encounter On South Eggleston Avenue

The Chicago Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 9000 block of South Eggleston Avenue at approximately 4:28 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Arriving officers discovered a 21 year old male victim suffering from a critical gunshot wound to the neck. Medical Response and Pronouncement
