The trial, conducted across sites in India and Australia, utilized standardized KSM-66 Ashwagandha root extract delivered in gummy form. Using the Sleep Disturbance Scale for Children, researchers found that the Ashwagandha group experienced notably better, less disrupted sleep compared to the placebo group. Improved sleep is often a critical factor in pediatric cognitive performance, as rest directly influences executive functions like problem-solving and self-regulation. Furthermore, the active group showed a reduction in behavioral difficulties over time, suggesting a favorable, though modest, impact on overall emotional health.
