Early Morning Confrontation on Dalby Drive
Residents in northeast Colorado Springs are on alert following a violent encounter at a local convenience store. At approximately 3:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) were dispatched to a business located on Dalby Drive, situated near the busy intersection of Dublin and Powers Boulevards. Upon arrival, law enforcement confirmed that a robbery had taken place, though the perpetrator had already fled the scene on foot.
Armed Threat and Theft of Inventory
The store clerk provided a harrowing account of the incident to responding officers. According to the witness, the suspect brandished a revolver and directed the clerk to hand over multiple "vapes" from behind the sales counter. The suspect appeared focused specifically on these electronic nicotine delivery systems, rather than targeting the cash register. The stolen items were reportedly stowed into a dark backpack the suspect brought into the store.
Suspect Description and Surveillance Details
CSPD investigators have reviewed surveillance footage from the store to help identify the individual. The suspect is described as a white male, likely in his late teens or early 20s. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, a face mask, and reflective glasses, which obscured much of his facial features.
