The owner of an Antioch smoke shop is facing a financial crisis after a trio of burglars successfully infiltrated his business in the early hours of Sunday morning. Kerolos Girgis, who operates The Coughy Shop Vape and Smoke, estimated that the value of the stolen inventory exceeds 15,000 dollars. This incident marks the second time within a single week that one of Girgis’s business locations has been victimized by targeted theft, leaving the entrepreneur to manage the fallout of significant property damage and lost merchandise.

Live Surveillance of a Rapid Infiltration

According to the business owner, the robbery began around 5 a.m. when a security alert triggered a notification on his mobile device. Girgis stated that he opened his camera feed to see the robbers actively moving through his store in real time. Despite his immediate efforts to contact the authorities, the efficiency of the suspects proved insurmountable. The thieves were only inside the premises for approximately one to two minutes, a window of time that Girgis noted was too brief for responding officers to intercept the crime in progress.

Targeted Theft of Specialized Inventory

Security footage captured three masked men using a hammer to shatter a front window before climbing behind the main service counter. Once inside, the group systematically swept the countertops, focusing specifically on high value smoking products. Girgis reported that the suspects focused their efforts on THCA flower and pre-rolls, taking nearly all available stock. In addition to the five figure inventory loss, the owner is facing a 1,500 dollar repair bill for the specialized glass windows destroyed during the entry.
