Neighborhood Surveillance Captures Last Known Movement

The search for Lester Daniel began after he was spotted on a neighbor’s Ring camera on Thursday afternoon. The 64 year old was recorded at approximately 5 p.m. in the 1400 block of Martin Luther King Drive. At the time of his disappearance, Daniel was wearing a light blue polo shirt featuring a white stripe, paired with blue shorts and gray Skechers sneakers. Due to his cognitive condition, police have classified his disappearance as a critical missing person case.

Extended Search for Second Missing Senior

In a separate ongoing investigation, Albany police are looking for 79 year old Arnold Somereville. Somereville has been missing since Tuesday night, March 24, when he was last seen at approximately 8 p.m. He is described as being 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing roughly 200 pounds. His last known clothing included a blue shirt and black jeans. As the days pass since his initial disappearance, authorities are growing increasingly concerned for his safety and well being.

Public Cooperation Requested for Identification

The Albany Police Department is urging residents and business owners to keep a watchful eye for both men. Because dementia can lead to disorientation and wandering, they may be found in areas far from their last known locations or may appear confused if approached. Public Information Officers have emphasized that timely tips from the community are often the most effective tool in reuniting missing seniors with their families.
