Social Media Deception Triggers Federal Investigation

The federal case against Kleider Enrique Garcia Ochoa centers on his use of the social media pseudonym “Conociendo” to target and exploit minors. According to admissions made before U.S. District Court Judge Brian A. Jackson, Ochoa engaged in a series of explicit digital communications with an individual he believed was a teenager living in Denham Springs. This digital interaction was actually a controlled operation by law enforcement, which monitored Ochoa as he sent sexually explicit imagery of himself and requested reciprocal photos from the supposed victim.

Undercover Operation Leads to Denham Springs Arrest

The investigation culminated in a physical meeting arranged by the defendant for the purpose of engaging in illegal sexual acts. Ochoa traveled to a specified location in Louisiana with the intent to transport the minor for further exploitation. Upon his arrival at the scene, he was immediately apprehended by officers who had been posing as the 15 year old boy during the weeks-long digital exchange. This coordinated effort ensured that the suspect was intercepted before he could target actual members of the community.

Minimum Sentencing Mandates and Post-Prison Deportation

Following his guilty plea, Ochoa faces a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years in federal prison, with the statutory maximum extending to a life term. In addition to the term of incarceration, the court may impose a $250,000 fine and a lifetime of supervised release. Given his status as an unauthorized national, the Department of Justice confirmed that Ochoa will be subject to mandatory removal and deportation from the United States immediately upon the completion of his custodial sentence.
