In a series of candid images, Gomez is seen sitting at her executive desk, leaning in to explain the nuances of various Rare Beauty products to Aubriella. The young guest, daughter of Gomez’s cousin Priscilla Cosme, appeared fully immersed in the experience, at one point sitting on the office carpet surrounded by a curated mountain of makeup and skincare products. Gomez affectionately captioned the post, “My goddaughter came to visit Tia at work,” using the Spanish term for "aunt" to emphasize their close bond.

The Special Bond Between Selena and the Cosme Family

The relationship between Selena and the Cosme family is deeply rooted. Gomez served as the maid of honor at Priscilla’s 2019 wedding, and in 2020, she officially became Aubriella’s godmother. At the time, Priscilla shared a touching photo of the singer holding the newborn next to a sign that read, “Every princess needs a fairy godmother, will you be mine?” Beyond Aubriella, Gomez is also the godmother to Priscilla’s eldest child, Aiden, further cementing her role as a central figure in her cousin’s children’s lives.

This office visit is just the latest in a string of public support from Aubriella. In September 2024, Gomez shared a viral clip of the toddler jumping for joy and shouting “Tia, tia!” while watching Gomez on screen during the 76th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Even though the award for Outstanding Lead Actress went to Jean Smart that night, Gomez maintained that her goddaughter’s reaction was the true highlight of the evening. More recently, Aubriella was seen proudly waving a Puerto Rican flag during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime performance, a moment Gomez shared with the caption, “My goddaughter proud as can be.”
