The Discovery
Mr. Mundy's remains were located by a bushwalker on April 24, 2026, in Inman Valley, approximately 75km south of Adelaide. Jeffrey was last seen alive by his family in December 2020.
While the discovery brings his family a grim sense of closure, it has reignited the investigation into his death, which police have long treated as a murder.
A Major Crime Investigation Reopened
Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke stated that the recovery of the body marks a turning point in the case.
The Theory: Police believe Mr. Mundy was held against his will for several weeks before being murdered, likely over a drug debt.
