A Multi-Jurisdictional Pursuit and Tactical Arrest
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and local police departments successfully apprehended a suspect following a high-speed chase that began in the early hours of Tuesday, March 3, 2026. According to preliminary reports, the pursuit was initiated after officers attempted a routine traffic stop for a reckless driving violation. The suspect allegedly refused to comply, accelerating through residential areas and eventually entering the highway system at speeds exceeding ninety miles per hour. Law enforcement utilized tactical maneuvers and coordinated road closures to eventually bring the vehicle to a halt without causing injuries to bystanders or officers.
Booking Details and Formal Charges
Following the conclusion of the chase, the suspect, whose identity has been confirmed by jail records as 28-year-old Marcus Vance, was transported to the Hamilton County Justice Center. Vance was officially booked at approximately 2:15 AM and remains held pending his judicial hearing. He faces a litany of charges, including felony fleeing and eluding, reckless endangerment, and driving with a suspended license. Prosecutors have indicated that additional charges may be added as investigators review the full dashcam and bodycam footage from the various agencies involved in the pursuit.
Tuesday Morning Judicial Proceedings
The suspect is slated to appear in Hamilton County Court later this morning for his preliminary hearing. During this appearance, a judge will review the probable cause affidavit and determine the conditions of his bond. Given the nature of the high-speed pursuit and the risk posed to public safety, prosecutors are expected to argue for a significant bond amount. Public defenders have been assigned to the case, and a formal plea is anticipated to be entered during this initial court date.
