Tournament Structure and Eligibility

The "Lorgar Rankings" event follows a multi-stage format beginning with national open qualifiers from March 12th to 15th. The top two teams from each eligible nation will advance to a closed qualifier. From March 20th to April 10th, these teams will compete in a GSL Group Stage, followed by a double-elimination Play-In phase. Ultimately, eight teams will secure their spots at the LAN finals scheduled for April 25th and 26th.

To ensure a high level of competition, StarLadder will use the April Valve Regional Standings (VRS) to select four top-tier teams for direct invitations. The tournament is open to a wide range of countries, including Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria, as well as Adriatic and Baltic nations like Serbia, Croatia, and Estonia. This geographic focus aims to provide professional opportunities to regions with dense talent pools but fewer dedicated Tier 2 circuits.

StarLadder’s Commitment to the Tier 2 Scene

The collaboration with Lorgar is part of a broader strategy by StarLadder to cultivate the Counter-Strike 2 ecosystem below the elite Tier 1 level. This follows their January launch of "Stake Ranked," a separate $100,000 circuit organized in partnership with the betting platform Stake. By hosting these events, StarLadder provides smaller organizations with the consistent match experience and prize incentives needed to climb the global standings and qualify for Major championships.

As the professional scene becomes increasingly competitive, Tier 2 events like Lorgar Rankings and the upcoming BC.Game Masters are becoming essential for teams looking to earn VRS points. These tournaments offer a sustainable path for rising talent to prove themselves in a structured environment before transitioning to the world stage. The LAN finals in the Schengen Area will serve as a definitive proving ground for these emerging Eastern European squads.
