Public Auction Announcement
Stanbic Bank Kenya has officially opened a public auction for 20 vehicles previously used as collateral or bank assets. The inventory includes a wide spectrum of automotive options, from high-end luxury vehicles to essential commercial transport. The bank has emphasized that all units are being sold on an “as is, where is” basis, meaning the buyer assumes full responsibility for the vehicle's condition upon purchase. This auction represents a significant opportunity for individual buyers and transport companies to acquire assets below market value.
Bidding Process and Requirements
Interested participants are required to follow a specific protocol to qualify for the auction. A non-refundable bidding fee of KSh 2,000 (approximately ₦21,000) per vehicle must be paid. Formal bids, which must include the bidder's full contact details, are to be submitted via email to the bank’s dedicated debt recovery address. The committee has set a strict deadline for submissions, requiring all emails to be received no later than Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
High-Value Inventory and Locations
The auction list features several high-value commercial assets, including multiple Mercedes-Benz Actros models and Sinotruk Howo trucks, with reserve prices ranging between KSh 2.6 million and KSh 5.54 million. For luxury car enthusiasts, the bank is offering a Porsche Macan and a Peugeot 3008. The vehicles are distributed across various storage facilities nationwide, including the Startruck Auctioneers Yard in Kiambu, Matriz Moves Yard in Changamwe, and Joyland Storage in Eldoret, allowing bidders from different regions to inspect the units.
