Activist Proposes Political Declaration for Legal Amnesty
The ongoing legal confrontation between social media activist VeryDarkMan and businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, took an unconventional turn on April 6, 2026. VeryDarkMan indicated his willingness to withdraw charges that led to the businessman's remand at the Kuje Correctional Centre, but only under highly specific conditions. During a digital exchange with human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju, the activist revealed that his "forgiveness" is contingent upon a public display of political loyalty from those mediating the dispute.
High Court Mandates Detention Over Impersonation Claims
The Federal High Court recently ordered that Blord be held at the Kuje facility pending further proceedings regarding allegations of impersonation and related charges. These filings, initiated by VeryDarkMan, have halted the businessman’s regular operations, though his social media presence has remained active through promotional content for his real estate ventures. According to reports from Olaniyi Apanpa, the activist has used this period of detention to exert significant leverage over the terms of a potential settlement.
Mediation Efforts Meet Unorthodox Demands
Deji Adeyanju, a prominent human rights lawyer, has been actively attempting to mediate between the two parties to secure the businessman's release. When Adeyanju pressed for the exact requirements to end the litigation, VeryDarkMan stipulated that the lawyer must go online and openly declare his love for the ruling APC and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The activist suggested that if these terms are met, he would be prepared to withdraw the case immediately, framing the demand as a test of the mediator’s commitment to the resolution.
