The incident occurred in January 2025 while Barron Trump was in the United States and the victim was at her home in London. According to court testimony, Trump was on a video call with the victim—a friend of his—when Rumiantsev began the attack. Rumiantsev not only beat the woman but also took her phone to film her in an attempt to humiliate her. Despite the geographic distance, Trump contacted London emergency services to report exactly what he was seeing, leading to Rumiantsev's immediate arrest by Metropolitan Police officers.
