Proactive Fertility Preservation
In a candid cover story for the April 2026 issue of Women’s Health U.K., Rita Ora detailed her journey with fertility preservation. On the advice of her physician, the "Anywhere" singer underwent two rounds of egg freezing during her mid-20s. While many in the U.K. wait until their late 30s to begin the process, Ora opted to act early to ensure the highest possible egg quality.
"It was actually the best advice, because now I’m in my mid-30s and I have a lot of friends really trying to figure it out," Ora shared.
The Influence of Maternal Health
Ora’s focus on longevity and reproductive health was catalyzed by her mother, Vera Sahatçiu. When Vera was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 39 in 2005, the subsequent life-saving treatments triggered early menopause. This family medical history subconsciously drove Ora to "get ahead" of her own biological clock and prioritize preventative healthcare.
The diagnosis also had a lasting impact on Ora’s mental health, as she recalled experiencing significant anxiety during her teenage years, often spiraling into "worst-case scenario" thinking regarding her family's well-being.
