The Mechanics of the Night Queue Challenge
VALORANT players have a new opportunity to expand their cosmetic collections through the "Night Queue" challenge, an interactive event hosted on the For The Win platform. To participate, players must link their Riot Games account to the challenge website. The event is structured around two distinct phases, each offering unique rewards for reaching a 500-point threshold. Unlike standard Battlepass progression, Night Queue focuses on specific gameplay milestones and community engagement, encouraging players to diversify their playstyles and collaborate with friends in various game modes.
Phase One: Warming Up (March 4th – March 14th)
The initial stage, titled "Warming Up," provides a straightforward entry point for players to begin accumulating points. The primary reward for this phase is the ‘Hari Raya Homecoming’ player card. Points are earned through a mix of match participation and resource management. For example, every kill and every match completed (win or loss) grants a single point. To accelerate progress, players can focus on higher-value objectives, such as spending in-game credits—every 10,000 credits spent yields 15 points. Social play is also incentivized, with bonus points awarded for queuing with friends.
Phase Two: Night Owl (March 14th – March 23rd)
The second phase, "Night Owl," shifts the focus toward higher skill-based objectives and tactical team play. Successfully reaching 500 points in this stage unlocks the ‘Last Round Before Dawn’ player card. The quests in this phase are more demanding; players must achieve 15 or more headshots in a single match to earn 15 points. Strategic play is rewarded through spike plants and defuses, which grant five points each toward the total. This phase can be completed across Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay, or Spike Rush modes, offering flexibility for players who prefer shorter match durations.
