Contradictory Reports from Washington and Tehran
The clarification follows a confusing string of statements from the warring parties:
The U.S. Position: On Monday, President Donald Trump claimed that the U.S. had held talks with Iranian officials and discovered "major points of agreement."
The Iranian Response: Tehran has flatly denied that any such negotiations took place, even as it continues to launch retaliatory missile waves at Israel.
