National Solidarity and Security Consultations in Jos

President Bola Tinubu has officially commenced a high profile working tour that will span nine days and cover four critical states across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones. The first leg of this journey takes the President to Jos, the capital of Plateau State, where he is scheduled to meet with government officials and local leaders. This visit is primarily intended to provide federal support and commiserate with the people of Plateau following a series of violent gun attacks that resulted in the loss of several lives. According to presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, this stop underscores the administration's focus on national stability and its commitment to addressing the security challenges facing the North Central region.

Strategic Aviation and Customs Infrastructure in Ogun

Following his engagement in Plateau, the President is set to travel to Ogun State on Saturday, April 4, for a series of inaugurations aimed at boosting regional economic capacity. The center piece of this visit is the official flag off of operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport, a project designed to enhance the export and import capabilities of the industrial hub. According to state reports, Tinubu will also commission two commercial aircraft dedicated to trade, alongside the new Federal Operations Unit edifice for the Nigerian Customs Service. These developments are viewed as essential steps toward integrating Ogun State more deeply into the global supply chain.

Inaugurating Urban Transformation Projects in Lagos

The President’s itinerary includes an extended stay in Lagos, where he will observe the Easter holiday while participating in the unveiling of several landmark state projects. Among the most anticipated is the inauguration of the iconic Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, which is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion in the metropolitan area. Tinubu is also scheduled to open the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building and a Multi Agency Complex named in his honor. According to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, these projects represent a continued investment in the state’s administrative efficiency and physical connectivity.
