A Year of Compliance and Social Integration
Since his release from Tongariro Prison in May 2025, Lundy has reportedly adhered to all conditions of his parole. A progress report highlighted that he continues to enjoy stable accommodation and has complied with all monitoring requirements since his last hearing in October 2025. While Lundy famously maintained his innocence throughout two trials for the 2000 murders of his wife, Christine, and daughter, Amber, the Board noted that he has successfully transitioned into community life. His previous night-time curfew has already been lifted, and he is reportedly expanding his social contacts.
Strict Parole Conditions Remain in Force
Despite the lifting of his curfew and a previous ban on speaking to the media, Lundy remains subject to a stringent list of "life" conditions. These include:
Electronic Monitoring: Mandatory GPS tracking of his whereabouts.
Social Media Ban: Prohibited from holding accounts or posting on any social media platforms.
