The Anti-SLAPP Dispute
The friction stems from an "anti-SLAPP" motion filed by the estate in November 2025. SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) motions are intended to dismiss meritless lawsuits that chill free speech.
The Estate's View: Executors argued Paris's petition to modify how legal fees are paid out was a strategic strike against them, and since their motion was granted, they believe they are entitled to recover $93,924.63 in fees and $1,238.39 in costs.
Paris's Response: Her attorneys argue the motion was a "procedural" distraction that did not actually dismiss any of her claims. They allege the estate paid the very law firms receiving "improper payments" an additional $115,355.52 to attack Paris.
Financial Stakes: The $65 Million Disclosure
As the legal skirmish over transparency and executor bonuses continues, the estate has made public disclosures regarding Paris's inheritance. In October 2025, filings revealed that Paris has received approximately $65 million in benefits since her father's death in 2009. Paris, however, maintains that the challenge isn't about her current distributions, but rather a lack of transparency regarding "premium payouts" and bonuses allegedly issued to executors in 2018.
