The Encounter and Witness Intervention

The victim was walking home alone when she noticed a vehicle following her. According to police reports, the driver stopped his car, exited the vehicle, and grabbed the woman, attempting to force her inside. A witness in the area heard the victim screaming for help and observed the struggle. When the witness approached the vehicle to assist, the suspect released the victim and sped away. The woman sustained minor scratches and torn clothing during the altercation but was not seriously injured.

Surveillance and Apprehension

Following the incident, Ontario Police used witness descriptions of the suspect and his vehicle to scan the city’s Real Time Information Center intersection cameras. The RTIC technology allowed investigators to identify the vehicle's license plate and track its flight path out of the area. This real-time tracking led officers to a residence in the 8700 block of Arrow Route in Rancho Cucamonga. Carrizalez was arrested at the scene without incident.

Legal Proceedings and Search for Additional Victims

Carrizalez was booked at the West Valley Detention Center on felony charges including kidnapping and false imprisonment. Given the aggressive nature of the daylight stalking and the attempt to snatch a stranger in public, detectives believe there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. The Ontario Police Department has released a photo of the suspect and his vehicle, urging anyone with information or similar experiences to contact them at (909) 408-1748.
