A Coastal Masterpiece in Shenzhen
Ocean’s Edge was designed to fulfill a specific brief: connecting New Zealand with China. Moore chose to focus on seafood one of New Zealand's primary exports to the Chinese market as her central theme. The result is a surreal, sculptural tribute to the Pacific coastline that features:
Massive Sculptures: A giant shell crafted from cement and bamboo, and five oversized oysters made from chicken netting and plaster of Paris.
Marine Details: Giant kina (sea urchins) adorned with fake pearls and teal beads.
Native Flora: A plant palette featuring purple flax, lupins, and succulents.
Artistic Waves: Stainless steel structures mimicking the movement of the sea.
