The Emergence of Witchcraft from the Los Ratones Legacy
Following the conclusion of the streamer-backed "Los Ratones" project, midlaner Tim ‘Nemesis’ Lipovšek has officially unveiled its successor: Witchcraft. The new organization will carry the competitive torch for the roster that recently participated in the NLC and LEC Versus. While the Los Ratones brand has officially closed, the project lives on through this new banner, maintaining the competitive momentum generated by one of the most-watched tier-two teams in European history. Witchcraft enters the scene with an immediate invitation to the EMEA Masters Winter tournament, a privilege granted due to the team's prior participation in the LEC Versus circuit.
A Star Studded Roster with World Class Pedigree
The Witchcraft 2026 roster is composed of veteran talent that has reached the highest levels of global competition. The most significant change from the previous iteration is the addition of Gabriël ‘Bwipo’ Rau in the top lane, replacing Simon ‘Baus’ Hofverberg. Bwipo, known for his time with Fnatic, Team Liquid, and FlyQuest, brings a wealth of professional experience to a team already teeming with veteran skill. He joins the Los Ratones core of Veljko ‘Velja’ Čamdžić in the jungle, Nemesis in the mid lane, Juš ‘Crownie’ Marušič as ADC, and the iconic Martin ‘Rekkles’ Larsson in the support role. This lineup represents one of the most decorated rosters to ever compete at the EMEA Masters level.
Strategic Coaching and Project Leadership
To match the caliber of its players, Witchcraft has secured a top-tier coaching staff. Jakob ‘YamatoCannon’ Mebdi, a renowned figure in the LEC and LCK, will serve as the roster’s Head Coach, supported by Kevin ‘Shaves’ Tolman. The involvement of such high-profile staff underscores the project's serious competitive ambitions. While Marc ‘Caedrel’ Lamont will not be formally involved in the team's operations due to other commitments, Nemesis confirmed that the popular streamer remains a vocal supporter of the project. The absence of Caedrel’s direct backing marks a shift in the team's identity from a "streamer project" toward a more traditional competitive entity.
