Coordinated Investigation Thwarts Jail Contraband Delivery

A multi-day investigation into narcotics trafficking within Henderson County culminated in the arrest of two women accused of attempting to smuggle a lethal cocktail of drugs into the county jail. Acting on a tip received by the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, narcotics investigators and K9 units intercepted 36 year old Megan Chapman and 47 year old Shannon Boyle on Saturday morning. The pair was allegedly attempting to deliver a "drug drop" disguised as a common tube of eczema cream intended for inmates currently held at the facility.

Sophisticated Concealment Using Medicinal Packaging

Upon searching the suspects, deputies discovered that the skin cream tube had been hollowed out and filled with multiple small, individually packaged balloons of varying colors. A forensic analysis of the contents revealed a high-potency mix of suspected cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and an assortment of illegal pills. Investigators identified the intended recipients as Jessy Pierce, 38, and Joshua Sallings, 45, both residents of Mabank currently incarcerated in the Henderson County facility.

Residential Search Uncovers Additional Narcotics and Tools

The arrests led to further discoveries during subsequent interviews and searches. Boyle admitted to carrying methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in her purse at the time of the arrest. A search warrant was later executed at Chapman’s residence on County Road 2918 in Eustace. There, deputies found specialized tools and packaging materials consistent with the concealment method used at the jail, along with additional quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana, and THC gummies.
