Market leading display brightness and specifications
At the 2026 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Motorola showcased the Razr Fold, its first book-style foldable smartphone. The device is distinguished by its exceptionally bright displays, significantly outperforming current market rivals. The internal 8.1-inch LTPO foldable screen reaches a peak brightness of 6,200 nits, while the external display hits 6,000 nits. These figures roughly double the peak brightness found on contemporary competitors like the Pixel 10 Fold Pro. The main display offers a 2K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the external panel features a 165Hz refresh rate, with both supporting Dolby Vision.
High density battery and slim architecture
To power its high-performance screens, Motorola has implemented a 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. This technology provides higher energy density, allowing the Razr Fold to maintain a slim profile despite its large capacity. The device measures just 4.6mm thin when unfolded and 9.9mm when closed. While slightly thicker than the latest Samsung Z Fold, the Razr Fold offers a substantially larger battery capacity than the 4,400mAh found in the Samsung model. The device supports 80W wired fast charging via TurboPower and 50W wireless charging.
Design aesthetics and hardware performance
The Razr Fold continues the design language of Motorola's premium line, featuring materials designed for ergonomics and durability. The "Blackened Blue" version utilizes a woven piqué design to improve grip and resist fingerprints, while the "Lily White" variant offers a smooth satin finish. Under the hood, the foldable is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, currently considered the flagship standard for Android devices. A dedicated liquid-cooling system is integrated into the chassis to manage thermal performance during intensive gaming and multitasking.
