Strategic Capacity Building For Housing Leadership

The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has announced a comprehensive training program designed to equip heads of housing agencies and private developers with the technical expertise needed to utilize Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Joint Ventures (JVs). Titled Leveraging PPPs and Joint Ventures for Housing Development, the training is being organized in partnership with Shelter Advisory Services Limited. The primary goal is to provide a structured approach to housing finance and implementation, ensuring that PPP models can be effectively deployed to address the nation’s housing deficit.

The Renewed Hope Housing PPP Summit Framework

This training session serves as a foundational component of the broader Renewed Hope Housing PPP Summit. The summit is envisioned as a high level policy and transaction platform where stakeholders from the federal and state governments, institutional investors, and development partners can align their frameworks. According to the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, the event is specifically designed to move the national housing conversation beyond abstract strategy and into the realm of sustained project delivery.

Bridging The Gap Between Policy And Bankable Projects

Minister Dangiwa emphasized that the central objective of the summit is to bridge the significant gap between well-articulated government policies and tangible, bankable housing projects. The platform will focus on practical, transaction-oriented engagements, covering essential topics such as project pipelines, financing instruments, and risk-allocation frameworks. By establishing successful delivery models that can be replicated across various states, the ministry aims to catalyze large-scale housing production that meets the scale of Nigeria’s current urban requirements.
