Operation Beverly and the 14th Arrest
The defendant's arrest is the 14th under Operation Beverly, a targeted police investigation into the abuse of boys at Dilworth School between 1950 and 2005. Police have indicated that the individual had been a person of interest for several years before charges were officially laid.
The Charges: The man faces 10 counts of sexual offending.
Legal Representation: Defense lawyer Kate Goodman-Creed entered the not guilty plea by notice on behalf of her client.
Name Suppression: While Judge Evangelos Thomas initially rejected an application for continued name suppression, the defendant remains anonymous for now following an immediate appeal by his legal team.
