FBI Lead Triggers Multi-State Investigation
A collaboration between federal and local law enforcement has resulted in the arrest of two individuals in Hopkins County. On March 10, the Madisonville Police Department (MPD) was contacted by an FBI agent regarding a separate investigation in Texas involving the manufacturing and possession of child pornography. Data recovered during that Texas-based probe pointed to communication between two residents in the Madisonville area, initiating a local investigation into the possession and distribution of illegal materials.
Evidence of Digital Exploitation
Investigators allege that Brittney Monahan and Landon Talley engaged in extensive digital communication between March and April 2025. According to police reports, these communications involved detailed discussions of sexual fantasies involving children. Furthermore, the investigation verified that both individuals had received and possessed multiple images categorized as child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This digital trail served as a mechanical necessity for securing search warrants for their physical properties.
Dawson Springs Property Search and Drug Seizure
On March 12, MPD officers executed search warrants at a residence and a vehicle in Dawson Springs. While searching for digital evidence, officers discovered significant quantities of suspected controlled substances. Law enforcement reported finding methamphetamine inside both the home and a truck on the property. Additionally, a small baggie containing suspected Suboxone pills was recovered.
