The criticism follows an incident where President Ruto dismissed former Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, suggesting the politician merely inherited the legacy of his late brother, Kijana Wamalwa, and questioned his personal household management.

According to Ken Babu, the President’s sudden pivot to "petty political theatrics" is a calculated attempt to shift the public gaze away from systemic government failures. Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the Nairobi senatorial hopeful argued that the administration is using these outbursts to bury pressing concerns.
