At approximately 11:58 p.m., a 37-year-old male victim was standing on the platform of the State and Grand CTA Red Line station in River North. According to preliminary reports, an unidentified suspect approached the man and produced a sharp object, using it to strike the victim in the arm.

Following the attack, emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the victim to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Hospital staff listed the man in fair condition as he received treatment for the stab wound.
